Permafrost Reddit & Community: Where Players Discuss the Game

Where to find real player conversations

• Permafrost Steam discussions — game-specific questions, bugs, recent developer responses.
• Developer start-here and crash thread — first-party instructions, known launcher issues and report channels.
• Developer co-op how-to — real menu paths and host/join troubleshooting.
• r/SurvivalGaming — broader survival-game discussion.
• r/IndieDev — developer progress and context.

Choosing a trustworthy post

Look at the posting date, platform, game build and whether the author is actually marked as a developer. A player reporting that their hardware stutters can be useful, but it is one user’s experience, not a guarantee that every computer fails.

When reporting problems to the developers, provide the exact screen or step, your CPU/GPU/RAM and the game version. Avoid posting account details or a private co-op password.

The discussions most players need

For “can’t join my friend”, read the verified multiplayer instructions rather than relying on community guesses about lobbies. For Error 11c7, DX11 launch flags and NVIDIA issues, follow the crash-fixes guide. For the game’s purchase page and official news, open Steam information.

Some third-party gaming sites imply that they host an official dedicated Permafrost subreddit. We have not verified a developer-owned subreddit. We only point to existing communities and clearly distinguish first-party developer posts from ordinary community opinions.
